Pizza was good and inexpensive. Perfect for a bite on our way through and beer was tasty. Atmosphere is definitely lacking (bright white walls), but paint could be an easy fix.

Pizza is Good but Pricey. $49.50 take out for a Large and med Pizza. and another $10.00 for a jug of Root Beer. I think it is time to try Papa John's Take and Bake. $60.00 for Pizza and Root Beer. I think Not?

Battered onion rings, mushroom Swiss burger for me, Linda a Cajun chicken .. Cold IPA. Cool sounds of local band. A Good Friday

Our server was attentive, nice and knowledgeable (5 stars). Food was above average. Our family had the jalapeño poppers (5 stars), onion rings (4 stars) 3 pizzas (3 1/2 stars). Try the beer sampler (4 stars) 9 5oz pours for $12. Loud but good for families.

GROSS.. HAIR IN MY FOOD. actually two of them!! I am so appalled right now. I just got dinner from here becausebi am staying in Grants Pass for work and I already have so many complaints! first of all, they inconvenience me by not providing a receipt so that I can expense my dinner. They do not provide utensils for the salad and the fetuccine alfredo that they bagged. I specifically asked them to add sundried tomatoes, the girl over the phone says, "tomatoes"? and I said again, "yes. sundried tomatoes." then I have to find two pieces pf hair on my dinner????!!! disgusting. DO NOT GO HERE.

Have to go here. Great place to take out-of-towners to give them a good meal with great beer. Wild River is a Grants Pass classic.

Stopped in for some lunch on our way back from Eugene. The place was pretty good! I had the bbq chicken pizza and pub fries. Food was good the people were nice! Got my meal and a soda for 16.00. Pretty good deal!

Came on a Friday about 5pm service was awesome best I have had in a long time, beer was also very very good but come on what beer isn't, got a fired baked pizza...it was ok I have had way better but I will come back for sure to give everything else a try, menu options are huge so I'm sure a five is in there future. Will recommend and be coming back for sure.

Best pizza and pub frys in town. Top notch staff friendly and helpful. I always take visitors from out of town here.

  • Sand M.

Everything was excellent except they forgot a few items. Otherwise it was five star quality.

Oh my calzone! The chicken rustica was huge and delicious. Definitely a must try, you will probably be taking half home. Pair it with the brown ale and you have a winner. It's only 3.4% abv but packs in a ton of flavor for a low alcohol beer.

Good food for lunch. Place is somewhat outdated and needs a more inviting look from the outside. The inferno burger served on a onion cheese bun was good. The bacon was perfectly crisp and the soft fried egg I added was yummy. I on purpose left out the pick de gallo due to the watery consistency that makes burgers inedible for me. The battered coated fries were the best! Very delicious! I will come again and give the pizza a try. Customer service was barely existence, the employees fraternize with each other more than pay attention to the needs of the customer. Place was not very busy with two tables other than us. Hope it is better in the evening service. Our service was from about 3:15 to 4:15 PM on a Wednesday.

Our go to restaurant for the family. Best pizza in town, decent beer and my very favorite house salad dressing. The atmosphere is super family friendly.

I've been coming here for years, and it never disappoints! Some of the staff is better than others, which might explain some of the negative reviews. I usually get the pub pesto pasta because I'm an addict. But I've tried most of the burgers and salads as well and I've always been satisfied. The pubfries and ranch are a must for any newbies. I come here a lot because they stay open late and are open to minors.

We hadn't been to this store though had tried their Harbor location. Mixed feelings. Pizza is not very good. Ingredients sound right but crust not great and assembly is possibly an issue. The cookie at the end was great! The beer is not in a style I like in most cases. I want hops and they're mostly missing. I know the price of hops is up. The imperial stout was good. The imperial red, the IPA and the ESB ok. Didn't enjoy others in sampler. Sampler was priced right and generous. Waitress was nice enough and gave good service once she started serving us. We gave a decent tip. Pizza prices are a little high. Lots of locals so I assume there is a following.

Our first visit I had a terrific BBQ bacon burger but my husband ordered 1 $15 Half Moon Calzone and we cannot recommend it. It had lots of cheese and red pepper but almost no Italian sausage and when he complained our waiter said "sorry" and left rather quickly.

Here's a spot for great pizza. Multiple styles available as well as sandwiches and dinners. You have to try the beer they make here. I had the nut brown , awesome. The staff are super friendly and attentive. I had the Greek Lamb pizza with a thin crust, it was fantastic.

Was her 30 minutes ago and have had violent diarrhea every since. We will not be back. And off topic their linguine looks and taste like spaghetti and servers are nieve enough to believe the dumb ass who told him so.

We checked out Wild River Brewing while on our voyage back to Sacramento from Portland. This was an excellent choice! It was a bit off the freeway- but worth it. The ambiance was definitely nothing to be desired- but their food and beverages were excellent! They have a child's menu as well, reasonable. I ordered their Clam Chowder which was creamy and chunky- and their salad dressings are all house made!!! Their pizzas are personal sized and didn't not disappoint. Unfortunately we didn't get to try the beer., but the home made Root Beer was tasty. We would return if ever in the are again- Just don't turn away from their empty lot, or one way street.

Extremely rude manager (possibly the owner) who desperately needs a "service that sells" customer service change of attitude. In today's day and age, a grateful and gracious attitude for your customers that come in should be paramount. I have family in Grants Pass and from now on, anytime we come to visit again I will never come back nor recommend this place if nothing but based on ATTITUDE. I'm so frustrated with how he made me feel as a customer that if it weren't for my family all being together, my kids being hungry and it being late, we would absolutely walk out and shake the dust off our feet as we leave. No matter how busy you might be, you should never make your customers feel like they are a burden as soon as they walk in. Piss poor.

A sure hit. You can always count on the food being fresh and tasty. I've never had a poor meal served to me here in all the years we've frequented this restaurant.

  • Hieu C.

We ordered takeout. Our pizza was undercooked and slopped together. It was also cut up into about 30 small diamond pieces like somebody was intentionally messing with us. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED.

I'm leaving a 3 star review. I should have reviewed after our first visit. It would have been a five! Great food, pretty great service, my kids adore wild River. Remind me to review Abby's, because if you're in a toss up regarding which place to eat at, the answer is absolutely NOT Abby's. Here is the reason I docked two stars: My son wanted to go to Wild River for his special little birthday meal. We've always had great service before. There was a waiting list, we put our names down, and were skipped not once, but twice. I'm really trying hard to not think it was due to a teeny little nose ring, or labret piercing with mg otherwise conservative outfit. Hey? I mean I even have a coach bag? A real one? And my bling itself can tell you that I'm good for the tab, so why skip a mom and her little boy who just want some pineapple pizza and dessert? (It wasn't due to party size either. The other people had 2 & 3 in their parties as well.) We had a guy server. Be was great. The hostess that seated us, take note, we won't be back.

Everything is salty, even the pizza. Portions are humungus. Ordered fish & chips, had to send back. Waited for a tasteless frozen hamburger patty on a dry, almost stale bun. Pizza's were just re-heated, nothing fresh. Back of chairs are dirty. The handle of the one I had to move was sticky. I've been here a couple of times for birthday parties, etc.. Not a place to stop unless you're looking for beer and over salted everything.

Without a doubt, the best pizza I have ever eaten. We definately need one of these in Victorville, CA or I will be tempted to move to Grants Pass, OR. All we could do is look at each other and say "Oh My God!!!" Yummy, Yummy, Yummy. Service was also exceptional.

i had the taco pizza, omg it was perfect! they don't skimp on the toppings. I had the mini size and our kids had mini Hawaiian Pizza's which they ate every slice and loved it. also the home made root beer is really tasty. i can't wait to go back.

If you're from around here, you'll probably love it. Otherwise, skip it. From the soggy pizza to the lackluster salad to the cloying desserts, this local favorite has nothing to recommend it other than the beer, which is actually great. Pizzas come with a side of ranch dressing -- it's that sort of place. If you love ranch dressing, come on in. You won't be able to taste the pizza anyway.

Great pizza. Ask for it to be cooked well in order to get a crispy crust. Good beer as well, enjoyed the light beer.

Service: professional, attentive, and personable Food: creative, timely, very tasty and good quality; pizza was phenomenal and something to come back for; beer was great Miscellaneous: free wifi and didn't need to ask for password; we were not rushed to leave I like this place

Very solid place for pizza, beer and a nacho's. Next time we are back through Grants Pass we will be sure to stop by

The greeter was so confused. He handed me three menus and said I'm seating you over there and pointed to our table. He did apologize later. We had to ask for our waitress. When the pizza came they hadn't given us utensils or napkins and then only had enough plates for two of the three of us. The pizza is only slightly better than a frozen pizza - or maybe not. I don't drink beer so I can't comment on it.

As we were pulling into Grants Pass after a beautiful ride up US Highway 199 we checked in on Yelp to find a good place for a brew and something to eat and we saw this is very interesting place called Wild River brewery and pizza and decided to stop in and give it a look. We were greeted by Andrea and she started to inform us about the brewery and the different Ale's that were on tap. Originally we were seated at a table but when Andrea offered us a sampler to test the different brews on tap. When we ordered our individual pizzas we met Jordyn who was preparing the pizzas and she told us about the oven which was heated with wood, not gas. Also we learned that if your wearing a pub t-shirt you get a dollar off each pint you purchase. Cool huh. They have a variety of themes on the pint glasses so we had to buy at least 2. Lol. We liked then all! If you're ever in Grants Pass you'll be making a mistake if you don't stop into the Wild River pub and check them out. Once again, thanks to Andrea and Jordyn for making our first visit a lasting memory.

Weekday lunch, disappointing food all around, from the salmon ravioli (dry canned-like salmon), to the sandwiches, to the salads. Service was pretty good. Granted, didn't try the pizza or beer, so would be worth a try to check those out.

  • Chris M.

First off, I was surprised that Grants Pass even had a brewery. Secondly, they brew fairly good beer. I've only had their pizza once, and while not spectacular was still tasty. And that might describe Wild River in general, highly above average, but not quite great. So what are they missing? As a beer drinker, that signature beer, the one which reminds you, unmistakably, of Wild River. My personal favorite is the Octoberfest, and the honey wheat. But I've yet to try all of them either. There is definite room for improvement. However, if in Grants Pass I wouldn't recommend anywhere else, at least not for beer-lovers.

Good pizza and pasta. Great home made beer. Don't let the three stars distract you. The staff is nice the food is good.

Our experience was frustrating at best. We were a party of 8, with a baby. They attempted to sit us at a table met for 4. Made it known it was a bother to push two tables together. The waiter was not at all clear if he wanted to take our drink or food orders. When the gluten free pizza was brought to the table it was "announced" to the entire resturant. However, apparently they brought the WRONG pizza. The waitress ran out, grabbed it and declared : oh thank goodness you didn't eat it: Really? When we complained it was brushed off. Gluten allergies can be very serious. It's not just a simple stomach ache. It would of caused weeks worth of illness. If they are going to offer gluten free items they need to get their stuff together. They informed me they made the effort to wash the pan and the pizza slicer before making it. ....as they should have. That isn't something special. It's expected. I am disappointed. The food was ok. Certainly not the best in the valley. The service is terrible.

We come here and take my dad and step-mom out for dinner every time we are in town. The pizza is awesome. We tried the European style for the first time this past weekend and it was so delicious!

Disclaimer: Part of my price listed was adding a 'calzone rustica' for a friend, so overall bill was roughly $14 more. I'd been to the Medford location before, so when I was in the area for the Josephine County Fair, I thought I'd check this one out too. It's certainly as big- if not bigger- as the other location, but that could've seemed so because of the split level seating. The service was pleasant & waitstaff was quite knowledgeable & helpful. Their 'home-brewed' root beer was fantastic- reminded me of a cross between Barq's & Sarsaparilla, my kind of drink ^_^ The coconut shrimp was wonderful! So sweet, so crunchy, so full of coconut that the flavor really POPPED! And the sweet chili sauce really brought out the shrimp, too. Their pasta alfredo was amazing! Creamy, garlicy, rich- everything you'd ever expect in a dish so simple. The bread that came with it was... OK, but not the greatest- could've stood to be both warm & crispy, but now I'm just being technical. For dessert, my server recommended I try their blackberry cobbler ala mode. Oh man... it was light & rich at the same time! Hot cold, creamy & fruity- & the cobbler layer on top was like a cross between a biscuit & a snickerdoodle- a biscuit-doodle lol. So good. Overall bill, plus a well-deserved fat tip, was a little over $53 & I'd gladly recommend coming here if you wanna get stuffed- not fed, stuffed lol.

Everything was pretty average...service, food, drinks, etc...it wasn't bad but wasn't great so I give 3 stars :)

Wow. A restaurant that makes a lot of their items from scratch and uses local farm fresh produce is really a nice change. Food was awesome as was the service. And they brew their own beer right on the premises. Good stuff.

We went to the comedy club night..was pretty good! Not a ton of people but enough. The comedian was entertaining and the food was typical appetizers but still yummy! Would go back but wouldn't make a special trip.

The pizza was good and the wood fire ovens smelled amazing. The IPA beer was very refreshing.

Hopefully this is the page for Wild River's pub. Went for lunch today with my sister. After 10 minutes we went and got ourselves menus. Our waitress took our order, then we never saw her again. We ordered a club sandwich and pub fries to share. It took 45 minutes for the sandwich to come out. A different waitress brought us our food. She was incredibly rude and just dumped our sandwich off on the table and walked away. We had to flag down yet another waitress to get some more iced tea..... which was warm.... Gross. The food is good, but not worth waiting an hour for a cold turkey sandwich.

As I keep coming in for a couple beers and dinner, I'm more impressed all the time. The veggie pizza is great, must be 8-10 different veggies on it, good crust, sauce and cheese. The grilled chicken and avocado sando is fantastic, the chicken, avocado, grilled onions and cheese come together perfectly, and there bread is really good. I order it with a salad, and the balsamic dressing, and get extra dressing to put on the sando. Staff is super friendly, smiling and hard working. I've been lucky enough to have visited some great brewpubs throughout California and Oregon, and the brewer at Wild River brews consistently solid, well thought out beers. All the ladies tending bar are great, and Misty really shines! Food good, beer good, and with a good crew working, this place is a winner!

BIG thank you to the staff at the Pub!! Had a party of over 20 and they took care of us all wonderfully! The IPA was amazing! Delicious taco salad pizza and pub fries!! We'll be back again soon!!

Decent pizza, good brews (ask for a sampler), friendly service, but what brought us back was the blackberry cobler. Mmmmm.

The beer is great! The pizza and sandwiches are really good and fresh. I have been here three times and the service has always been good. Great hometown atmosphere. Will deifinately be back.
